Hello everyone: this is my submission for the Indie Game Music Contest - the game is called Tiny Garden. The developer’s brief was as follows: "We want our game to be a relaxed experience. There are no game overs or pressure during a Tiny Garden gameplay, and the music should help players to immerse themselves into a flow state. It should be relaxed tunes, like those of the “lo-fi beats to study to” from Youtube. But the music should have some deep, some unexpected movements of melancholy. It should evolve with the gameplay, celebrating the player progression and creating emotional riffs that the player will whistle later, even unconsciously." I composed and played a nice LoFi tune but I wanted to make a different sound for the introduction. I crafted a nice beat in the background with the intention of giving a relaxed game experience but with some rhythm. I added sounds for several sound and effects elements to the game such as the reaching of a target and the "falling into the basket" of the adorable tiny vegetables. After the target there's a bit of suspended ambience and then we find again the same LoFi tune with some catchy piano notes and an increased beat textures, in the attempt of accompanying the satisfying moment of the "interior design creativity". The music is adaptable and repetitive until the player hits the main menu button. I really hope to win because I'm trying to enter in this professional circuit since years and it could be an important part of my composer's life! So ...finger crossed for me :-) Tiny Garden on Steam (link to the demo): https://store.steampowered.com/app/28...
